MUSES AND HETALIA
As with other forums involved with Hetalia, we require that all characters applied for, be their OCs or canon, be based on countries. Unfortunately there will be no states, provinces, cities, rivers, oceans, or fictional countries. There can be exceptions to these rules provided the area is actual land and is confirmed to be a canon representation in the comic, notes, or anime. There are plenty of characters to be chosen from the canons of Hetalia, and we don't really need the roleplay, which has a character cap, to be overrun with OCs unless they are plausible additions to Hetalia. The number of states and provinces in the world far outnumber the total number of countries, and allowing them has the potential of simply making the rp an OC AU rather than a canon Hetalia-based roleplay. If it turns out to be that way, why not just make an original character AU based on another? So, please do not request that we make exceptions and do not argue if we say a certain character is not allowed. If convincing cases are made to allow an OC, there is a chance it might be accepted, but the character cap results in the staff really wanting to keep this limited to plausible OCs, if any OCs apply at all. |
W.I.D. and Ages
Who Is Dead is, quite technically, a high school roleplay. Therefore, it is integral that you adjust your muses to accommodate the kind of qualities that would usually be found in a high school roleplay. Ages have been bumped up a little from the anime, so we request that muses be between ages 17-18 for students, and 24+ for teachers, just for basic realism. You are allowed to adjust the personality of your muses to fit a teacher or student as long as the core of the muse is still there. |
Students and Teachers
Romantic Student/Teacher relationships are discouraged. It isn't something that real life smiles upon, and the same rule applies here. Please refrain from pairings that involve students and teachers together-- that is, unless you're willing to accept the (dire) consequences for doing so anyway. Bottom line, don't ship things you can't have. In fact, don't ship at all. We all know everyone is going to die anyway. |
Backstories and Personalities
Alms Island is, despite the ulterior plot in the roleplay, a relatively quiet place to live. Although there is a pretty common calamity, we should assume that it hasn't happened in a while because of the steps taken to prevent it from occurring. Assume complacency has happened among residents and students. So, it isn't then unsurprising to see that we don't really want an overload of angsty backstories to make half the students mentally messed up. These are pretty normal kids leading pretty normal lives, except now they're being thrust into something that isn't very normal. |
Creativity and Headcanons
Cookie cutter characters are boring, and this is where the personal touches of the roleplayers come in. Because there is only so much information given in their character articles, and because each person has their own unique twist or style, there is a limitless number of unique muses present on the internet, and we would like to see as many as possible. |
Good Luck!
